THE ROYAL SHOW
In conjunction with the Manawatu A. and P. Association, the Royal Agricultural Society will hold their annual fixture at Palmerston North this year during the last two days of October aud the first day of November, and already a keen interest is manifest in the doings of the two bodies. An influx of visitors is expected from South Africa, and Australia, and possibly other parts of the Empire, and together with the Dominion visitors, Palmerston North will be en fete for the occasion. From a visit to the Royal Show one gains more than merely amusement. The educational possibilities are greater than most people think. The array of stock, which has no superior in the world, is in itself an education, while trade exhibits at the Royal Show are on a more grand scale than at ordinary A. and P. shows. On this occasion it is not a case of looking at one animal which has gained a prize, but at an array of stock such has never been eclipsed in the world. All classes of the community are being catered for, from the schoolboy to the housewife. Such a comprehensive schedule has never been preprepared before, and a perusal will ensure the success of the undertaking. Prizes gained at the Royal Show have twice the value when compared with prizes gained at an ordinary fixture, and it is in the interest of everyone to obtain a schedule from the secretary, Mr. W. T. Penny, box 85, Palmerston North.
