PALMERSTON SITTING. Palmerston North, September 3. Mr. J. L. Stout/iS.M., presided at a sitting of the Magistrate’s .Cotirt in Palmerston North this morning. D. W. Seywcll, who was charged with driving a inotor-car . at night without lights and pleading guilty by letter, was lined 10s. and costs 10s. Cycling at night without lights cost A. A. Hoskins, W. Nolan, A. N. Stratton, E. Burt, and S. Busst 10s. and costs 10s. each, while W. Eton, who appeared voluntarily, was fined 10s. and costs 3s. for a similar offence. A charge of driving a motor-car at night without lights was-• preferred against T. Blakely, who was fined 10s. and costs 10s. W. A. Field was fined £1 and costs 10s. for driving a motorlorry at night without lights. Dual charges of using an unregistered motor-car, and of not being in posses-’ sion of a motor driver’s license when called upon to produce one, were preferred against Dr. William Stowe, who was fined 10s. and 10s. costs on tlie first charge, 10s. costs on the second, and 10s. and 10s. costs on the third.
