lying with head in oven. Masterton, August 13. Gertrude Hilda Roberts, a married woman, oE 3 Kuripuni Street, Masterton, was found dead to-day in unusual circumstances. Deceased resided with her hus; band and two children, aged 13 and < respectively. The husband left tor work in the morning, and the two children came home for lunch, but deceased complained of not feeling well and did not cat. The elder child, upon returning home a-ain at 3.30 p.m., found her mother lying in an outhouse with her head in a -as oven. The child called the assistance of neighbours, who turned off the gas and obtained medical assistance, but the woman was beyond aid. Deceased had sullercd ill-health of late. Au inquest will be held to-morrow.
