These few simple tips upon how to smoke a pipe if acted upon will enable the smoker to get far greater enjoyment from it: Clean and dry the stem frequently—“ The cleaner the pipe, the sweeter the smoke.” Remove the leavings of the previous smoke so that the circulation of air can dry the pipe bowl. Select a good tobacco like Dill’s Best. Good pipe smoking tobacco made from fully-matured leaf and properly manufactured for pipesmoking will burn slowly and yield that fine natural aroma and flavour that is so highly prized by pipesmokers. Fill and pack your pipe evenly, light it well, take a few good puffs to get a good live fire, then press the ash down frequently so that the tobacco will continue to burn smoothly and freely. A clean pipe plus a good tobacco like Dill’s Best means a contented smoker: —Advt.
