NO INQUIRY NEEDED. Replying to a question raised in the House of Representatives by Mr. R. McKeen (Wellington South), the Minister of Industries and Commerce (Hon. A. D. MeLeod) stated yesterday that the Board of Trade (Gas) Regulations, gazetted in January, 1925, had applied to the J Wellington Gas Company for over three years. The calorific value of the gas by the company was, under the provisions of the regulations, rc- / gufarly tested by the gas cxaihiners, and had befin found to comply fully with the requirements of the “regulr/ions. No 1 grounds for complaint hud been brought under the notice of the Department. As control continued to be operative, there was no necessity, for any special inquiry into,the matter. ,
