The heat wave continues over Britain, and the shade temperature of til degrees registered in London yesterday was the highest for three years. Cloudless skies have been general, and Birmingham with 15.3 hours of sunshine broke a forty-one-year record, while Jioss-on-the-Wye, witli 15.5 hours, measured more for July than on any occasion since observations started.
