West to south winds, strong to gale force; seas rough generally in New Zealand waters; strong south-westerly winds to gales and rough to very rough seas in the eastern Tasman Sea. Weather cold, changeable, and squally generally with further showers; heavy in places, and with some hail and snow on parts of the high country.
