A POPULAR HUNTSMAN

Mr. Harold A. Russell, of Hawke’s Bay, who was re-elected president of the Hunts Association of New Zealand at the annual meeting of that body in Wellington last evening, is one of the most popular huntsmen In the Dominion. In moving his re-election, Mr. R. H. Gaisford (Dannevirke) said that he; bad known Mr. Russell for many years, and agreed that he was one of the most popular men who followed the hounds in the Dominion. Mr. Russell had engaged n hunting practically from the time he could sit a horse, and the whole of the Russell family bad also oeen enthusiastic followers of the hounds. “Mr. Russell, said Mr. Gaisford, “knows hunting from A to Z, and is popular with everyone. what fitter man could we have as president ot the Association? ... ~ In supporting the nomination, Dr. McGregor Grant (Pakaranga) said that his club would be very pleased to learn that Mr. Russell had consented to again preside over the association.
