To be deprived of bls civil rights for five years was part of the punishment imposed on Frank White Yl s f?<iine ed in the Magistrate s Court with failing to attend military- drill. He was also fined £3 and ordered to pay costs. “He has given us a good ueal of trouble, and does not seem to .worry about It " said Captain Wales, who prosecuted for the Defence .Department. „ “He will have to pay tor his folly, said tb» Magistrate, in imposing the penalties.
