WEST AUSTRALIAN OUTRAGE

— * CONDITION OF VICTIMS Perth, June 26.

Clifford Hulme, a farm labourer, charged with the murder of his employer, Harold Eaton Smith, and outrage on Mrs. Smith and other members of the family, was remanded for eight days.

Mrs. Smith has improved in condition. She stated that her husband was shot dead on Friday afternoon, an employee stating that he had fallen from the tractor and been killed. She wanted to rush to the spot, when the same employee sympathetically persuaded her to remain in the house. Immediately the employee punched her face and body unmercifully, secured her with ropes to the bed-post, and assaulted her. He then attacked the other members of the family. The baby is recovering, but the six-year-old gird is still in a critical condition.
