The Wahlne will recommission at Lyttelton to-day, and is in command of Captain B. B. Irwin, who has been on holiday. His deck officers are the following:—Chief, Mr. J. D. Lundie (acting); second, Mr. J. S. Beaton; third, Mr. S. B. Ward. The Maori is in command of Captain A. H. Prosser, whose deck officers are the .following:—Chief, Mr. T. S. MaeNlcol; second, Mr. W. H. C. Millward; third, Mr. J. Wailing. Mr. A. G. M. Christie, who has just reported from holidays, has been appointed chief officer of the Mararna. TONGARIRO LEAVES PANAMA. The Federal Company have been notified by cable that, the Tongariro arrived at Panama on June 12 from Port Chalmers and sailed again on June 13 for London and West Coast ports of Great Britain. The vessel left Port Chalmers on May 24. PORT DENISON TO LOAD. The C. and D. Line advise that the Port Denison will leave Port Kembla next Tuesday to load at New Plymouth, Auckland, Lyttelton, and Wellington. The vessel will sail finally from Wellington on July 17 for London, via Montevideo. HAURAKI AT AUCKLAND. An arrival at Auckland on Monday evening was the Union Company’s motor-vessel Hauraki with a cargo of case oil and general cargo from Pacific Coast ports of America. The vessel loaded at Vancouver also, and sailed from San Francisco on May 29. She experienced a very fair weather trip across the Pacific, making the voyage in the record time of 20 days 3 hours. Besides general and case oil cargo the Hauraki brought two Rocky Mountain sheep from the Rocky Mountain Park, Banff, Canada, and two pedigree bulls, one a Jersey for the Waikato, and the other, a Friesian, for Wellington. Captain Norton retains command of the Hauraki, his officers being the same as when the vessel was last at Auckland. The Hauraki is to leave Auckland today for Wellington to continue discharge of hffr cargo from Pacific Coast ports. PIAKO AT LONDON. Cabled news has been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that the Piako arrived at London last Saturday morning from Auckland via Newport News. New York, and Halifax. The vessel sailed from Auckland on April 28. MATAKANA LEAVES NAPIER. The Shaw, Saviil, and Albion Company’s Steamer Matakana left Napier at 3.30 p.m. yesterday for Wellington, where she is due this morning, to fill up. The vessel will sail from here at 6 o’clock on Saturday morning for London, Avonmouth, Glasgow, and Liverpool, via Montevideo and Teneriffe. THE PORT SYDNEY. The C. and D. Line report that the Port Sydnev, which commenced loading at Bluff yesterday, will leave there on Saturday afternoon for Port Chalmers. THE RIMUTAKA. The New Zealand Shipping Company report that the Rlmutaka arrived at Lyttelton at 7.10 a.m. yesterday from the Wanganui roadstead for further loading. She will leave Lvttelton to-morrow for Wellington, and is due here on Saturday. The vessel will sail from Wellington next Wednesday for Napier and Auckland, and is to leave Auckland on June 29 for London, . via Panama. THE TAINUI. The Shaw, Savlll, and Albion Co.’s liner, Tainui, arrived at Bluff yesterday morning from Port Chalmers to continue loading. The vessel will leave Bluff on Saturday for Lyttelton and Wellington to complete her cargo for London. RUAHINE TO LOAD. The New Zealand Shipping Co. report that their liner,’ Ruahine, will leave Auckland at davbreak on Sunday to load at Gisborne, Timaru. Lyttelton, and Welling-

ton. The vessel is due at XVellington on July 5, and will sail finally from here on July 7 for Southampton and London, via Panama Canal. XVARNING TO MARINERS. The Secretary of the Post and Telegraph Department, Mr. G. McNamara, has received the following radio message broadcast from Sydney at 6.20 p.m. yesterday:— "The trawler Goonambee reports sighting a at 2 p.m. on June 20, partly submerged, about two miles off Port Hacking. The spar is about fifty feet long and showing fifteen to twenty feet out of thu water. It is drifting southward, and is considered daucerous to navigation.” MISCELLANEOUS. The Norfolk is to get away from Port Chalmers this morning for Timaru for further loading. The Raranga will now sail from Auckland at 2 p.m. to-day for New York, Bos ton, and London. The Port Curtis is to leave New Plymouth to-night or to-morrow for the XVanganui roadstead for further loading. The Scheldepas is due at XVellington this morning from Antwerp, via Auckland, to complete discharge of her cargo of basic slag. The Hurunui left Wellington at 7.15 o’clock yesterday morning for London and XVest Coast ports of Great Britain, via Montevideo and Las Palmas. The Totara is to leave here to-day for New Plymouth, and will return to Wellington. The Kurow will now leave here to-day for Picton, Napier, and Auckland. The XVingatui is to. leave Auckland tomorrow for XVellington and southern.ports. The Kaimanawa will now leave Auckland to-day for Portland to load cement for Wellington and Lyttelton. The Katoa Is to leave Dunedin to-day .or Timaru, Lyttelton, XVellington, and Auckland. The Calm, from Bluff, via ports, is now due here on Saturday, and will go on to Picton and Wanganui. The Kahika is due here to-morrow from Napier, and will leave on Saturday for Lyttelton, Timaru, and Dunedin. The Progress, due here to-morrow from the south, will go on to New Plymouth and Port XV’aikato. She is due back again next Thursday, and will proceed southwards. The Holmdale is due here on Sunday from the south, and will leave on Monday for XVanganul. The Cygnet is now due here to-night from Lyttelton and Kaikoura, and will -3turn to-morrow to the same ports. The John, from Lyttelton, Is due here on Sunday, and will leave on Monday for Wanganui and New Plymouth. The XX’aipalii is now due at Auckland to-morrow morning, from the Cook Islands. The XVaikawa now will leave Napier today for Lyttelton to continue discharge of her Pacific Coast cargo.
