TRAFFIC GROWING. (Australian Tress Association.) London, June 15. The shipping conference adopted a resolution moved by Mr. Campbell, general counsel of the American Steamship Owners’ Association, pointing out that the volume of traffic through the Panama Canal now justified the continuous operation of the canal by day and night, and suggesting that, representations should be made to the American Government, asking it to extend the hours of operation.
