> ' £lO,OOO FOR KING EDWARD’S HOSPITAL FUND (British Official Wireless.) Rugby, June 16. King Edward's, hospital fund, which distributes from* voluntary subscriptions a quarter of a million pounds annpally to London hospitals, lias received the gift from an anonymous donor of £lO,OOO, which is believed, from circumstantial evidence, to come from a subscriber who has previously sent several gifts of like amount. BIG SUM FOR MIDDLESEX HOSPITAL (British Official Wireless.) Rugby, June 15. Mr. Samuel Courtauld, a member of the famous firm of artificial silk manufacturers, has added a gift of £20,000 to the £40,000 which he gave to erect and equip a new-institute of biochemistry at Middlesex Hospital. Prince Arthur of Connaught, chairman of the hospital, states that the £20,000 will be used for maintenance purposes. Another sum qf £20,000 was given to the hospital by Mr. Courtauld a few years ago to endow a chair of anatomy at the Medical. School. / —■■lll —I
