Sir George Frampton, the famous sculptor, died in London on Monday (states a British Official Wireless message), at the age of sixty-eight. He made the Nurse Cavell Memorial in Leicester Square, and the Peter Pan statue in Kensington Gardens. Much of his early repute was for statues of Queen Victoria. He also did statues of Queen Mary for Calcutta and Delhi. Photograph below shows the Peter Pan statue in Kensington Gardens, considered by most people to be Sir George Frampton's finest work.
