WAIRARAPA SUB-CENTRE. Masterton, May 22. At a meeting last night of the Wairarapa sub-centre of the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association, it was reported that in connection with the championship meeting held on Marell 3 there was a credit balance of £25. T. Oakley was presented with a banner worked in the colours of the subcentre in recognition of his meritorious win in the cycle pursuit race against J. Standen, champion cyclist of Australia. W. Curlis was presented with a shield as"a prize for the winner of the most points in the B grade cycle championships on March 3. A sub-committee was set up to meet the custodian of the Masterton Park and discuss the question of further improvements to the racing track.
