e_ MEETING OF COMMITTEE. At the monthly meeting of the Boys’ Institute and S. A. Rhodes’ Home for Boys’ management committee, held on Monday, the following members were present:— Mr. C. S. Moore (in the chair), Mesdames T Hislop, J. Bruce Christie and G. T. Bell Messrs. G. E. Brown, W. A Parton, T. H. Gill, A. Johnston, W. I. Gibson’, and the director. A letter was received from Mrs. c. Hardliam, in which she spoke of her late husband’s association with the institute, as one of its old boys, and expressed her intention of presenting an enlarged Photograph of Maior Hardham to hang in the Institute Social Hall. The chairman referred to the fine example which Major Hardham had left to all Institute boys and spoke of the pride which they all felt in his association with the Institute. The director’s report stated that the past month had been a very busy one. The picture nights had been very popular. the average attendance being 110 boys. Football teams were hard at practice in the gymnasium every evening during the week. The director stated that it would be necessary to close the baths early In the coming month for painting and necessary repairs.
