THEATRE QUEUES
Sir, —After reading “Sympathiser’s” letter re theatregoers, I would like to refer to another queue, namely, the one waiting for the- gallery of the theatre, and to inquire why those queues tire not properly .ordered. On several occasions I have waited in the queue for almost two hours, and I have observed certain people arrive about five or ten minutes before the doors open, and, making for a convenient spot near the doors (instead of taking their place in the queue), these people push through those at the entrance directly the doors are open, and get into the very front row. These people arc frequently attired ie fur coats and all have the appearance of being able to pay for a better seat, instead of taking such a mean advantage of the poorer people who. have stood so long, often in the cold and wet. Cannot this sort of thing ■ be remedied?—-I. am, etc., ' D.E.F. Wellington, May 18.
