Proposed Train Running .Union.— At a meeting of the Christchurch Railway Guards’ Club there was discussed the recent suggestion from Auckland proposing the formation of a traffic union. The meeting carried the following resolution: “That the Christchurch Guards’ Club views with disfavour the proposed train running union as mooted by Auckland guards, and will not support any break away from the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, as the club still stands as an ally of that organisation.—Press Assn.
