LABOUR BALLOT
SENSATIONAL CHARGES OF CORRUPTION 1 Sydney, May 14. Mr. A. Roberts, one of the scrutineers of the Labour Party’s Senate preselection ballot, makes sensational allegations of irregularities and corrupt practices associated with the ballot, including the tampering with large numbers of ballot papers, and the rejection of perfectly valid papers, the object being to slaughter the moderates at the instigation of the Reds. Mr. Roberts resigned and made the facts public. He declares that Labour supporters should know how their votes for Senate candidates are being manipulated and calls for air investigation. Accordingly he has resigned.
