FOR INDUSTRIAL PEACE

RESUMPTION OF CONFER- ' " ENCE ' .The committees, having completed their work, the National Industrial ■ Conference has now the opportunity of concluding its deliberations. For private discussion, delegates fsvill reassemble in Wellington to-day, and in the evening a meeting of the special committee will be held. The conference will resume in public at 10 p.m. to-morrow. The fact that a report is to be submitted is an indication that some progress has been made in the committee stages. Presentation of the document will enable a full and free discussion on all aspects of the questions considered, to take place, but it is not likely that debate will be protracted. As the special committee, which drafted the report, is entirely representative, it id a reasonable assumption that the report will be adopted without much trouble.
