MISS ROYDEN’S LECTURES
On Sunday afternoon in Christchurch, when Miss Maude Royden, the eminent London preacher, preached in the Cathedral, hundreds were unable to gain admittance. so many were those who desired to hear her. Miss Royden will lecture in Wellington nt the Concert Chamber to-morrow, and in the large Town Hall on Thursday. Miss Royden does not lecture on religion, but to her religion is a matter of all life. At her Fellowship in London she is constantly approaching from quite a new angle problems which vex the twentieth, century world. She has sacrificed a life of ease and luxury to her principles, and even now a large part of her small salary at the Guildhouse goes to the poor. She does not draw it at all while travelling. Seats for Miss Royden’s lectures may be reserved at the. Bristol, and tickets for unreserved seats will be obtainable at the doors.
