RADIO FROM PORT DUNEDIN. The C. and D. Line received a further wireless message from the Port Dunedin yesterday, stating that the vessel will arrive at Port Chalmers at 6 o'clock this evening from Loudon. She will put out part cargo at the Otago port, and is to sail from there on Thursday for Lyttelton and New Plymouth. THE CANADIAN TRANSPORTER. The Canadian Transporter berthed at No. 1 south Queen's Wharf yesterday morning to put out cargo from Eastern Canada. She is to leave Wellington tomorrow for Lyttelton, Timaru, and Dunedin. From the last-named port the vessel is due back at Wellington on May 21 to load for New York, Boston, and Montreal. The Canadian Transporter will proceed from here to Auckland, and Is to sail finally from the northern port on May 25. KIA ORA SAILS MONDAY. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company announce that the Kia Ora, which is completing her loading at Wellington, will leave here at 5 p.m. on Monday for Loudon, via the Cape Horn route. THE SOMERSET. The Somerset arrived at Wellington at midday yesterday from Port Chalmers, and berthed at the Glasgow Wharf to fill up. The vessel is fixed to sail from Wellington at 6 a.m. next Thursday for London, Avonmouth, Glasgow, and Liverpool, via Panama. MATAKANA DUE MONDAY. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Co. advise that the Matakana will leave Auckland at noon to-day for Wellington, in continuation of her voyage from Liverpool. THE MAUI POMARE. Advice has been received that the Government's new motor skip, Maui Pomare, was 246 miles from the Marquesas at noon on May 4, and expected to arrive at Apia to-day. At Apia she is to land a number of lighters before resuming her voyage to Wellington, where she is due about the end of next week or early in the following week.

TAMAROA TO LOAD. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Co. s Tamaroa is due at Auckland at noon today from Wellington to complete discharge of her London cargo. The vessel is to leave Auckland next 1* rlday to 10ad at Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, and Wellington. She is due back at this port on Mav 30, and will sail from here on June 9 at 6 a.m. for Southampton and London, via Panama.

CARGO FROM HOME. The C. and D. Line chartered steamer Valacia is to leave Liverpool on Maj with general merchandise from West Coast ports of Great Britain for discharge at Auckland, ’Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. She is a vesse of (>o6o tons and was formerly named The C and D. Line motor-ship J° . 11 Fo leave London on June 6 for Auckland, Wellington, and New Plymouth.

THE WAIKAWA. The Union Company report that tne Waikawa is to clear San 1 r “ nc I ‘ s 5 I ?<nS'for for Los Angeles to complete loading for Xnia Napier, Lyttelton. Dunedin, Bluff, and New Plymouth. She will clear Los Angeles on May 15.

MAUNGANUI FROM AUCKLAND. The following passengers booked their passage at Wellington by the Maunganul, which left Auckland yesterday for bjdnev:—Mrs and Mr.. G. Mayers, Mr. Watson, Miss Ross, Mrs. Boyan, Mr. and Mrs. Hunt, Mr. N. L. Rice, Mrs. Dunn, Mr. and Mrs. Tie, Mr. A. G. Matson.

MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. . The Kawatlri will recommission at Auckland to-day, and is in command of Captain W. W. Hender. His deck officers are:—Chief, Mr 8. E. Gaskin; second Mr F. W. Young; third, Mr. E. R. Pate. Captain W. Martin is assuming command of the R.M.S. Makura at Sydney this trip, relieving Captain J. I'. »• Brown for holidays. Captain A. 8. Dalgliesh has been appointed master of the katoa, vice Captain A. Reed, who is awaiting Instructions at Wellington. _ Mr. T. E. Bevan has relieved Mr. C. THE ZEALANDIC. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company advise that the Zealandic berthed at Bluff last evening to continue loading. She will next proceed to Wellington, and is due here next Wednesday morning for further loading. From Wellington the vessel will sail next Friday for Auckland to fill up f is to leave Wellington at 7 o’clock this morning for Auckland to proceed with her loading. ' The Hurunui sailed from Auckland at 6.45 a.m. yesterday for Port Chalmers to continue discharge. The Baron Fairlie arrived at Auckland at 7 p.m. on Thursday with a cargo of basic slag from Antwerp. She will put out part of her cargo at Auckland, and the remainder at New Plymouth.

MESS TABLE GOSSIP. The death occurred, yesterday, of Mr. Thomas Lavin, a well-known coastal shipping identity, late cook of the steamer Invercargill. The deceased was for many years in the Wellington-Wanganui service, and was on board the coastal steamer Moa when she blew up some years ago off the Wanganui bar.

MISCELLANEOUS. The Mahia sailed from Gisborne last night for Wellington, where she is due tonight to complete loading. The Maimoa, at present loading at Gisborne. will leave there on Monday for the Wanganui roadstead. The Tongarlro is due at Wellington this morning from Lyttelton to continue load--IDThe Port Auckland arrived at New Plymouth at 7 a.m. yesterday from Timaru to complete discharge and to commence loading. She will leave the Taranaki port next Saturday for Opua. . The Wingatul from Auckland is due here to-morrow, and will leave on Monday for southern ports.
