The South Canterburi' Ladies’ Open Golf Championship was- commenced on the Jlighfield Links to-day with sixty competitors. The weather was fine, but the links were on the heavy side. The first qualifying round of the championship, a medal match, and a Canadian foursome were’ played to-day.
