SCULLS TO PEARCE

(Rec. May 6, 5.5 p.m.) Sydney, May 6.

The inster-State eight-oareu race of three miles on the Nepean River yesterday resulted: West Australia. 1; Queensland, 2; Tasmania, 3. All the States competed. West Australia won by a length and a quarter, Tasmania three-quarters of a length off. The winners hold the King's Cup.

Single Sculls, two miles and a half — Pearce (New South Wales), 1; Marsh (Tasmania), 2; Cambridge (Victoria),

Pearce won by ten lengths. Time, 15min. 30 2-ssec., a record for the event. Pearce is the Australian sculling representative for the Olympic Games.
