SALE IN WILLIS STREET An important sale of city property was conducted yesterday afternoon by Messrs. Dunbar Sloane, Limited, when they submitted a freehold block owned bv Messrs. Dwan Brothers to auction. The property, which is known as Nos. 22, 24, and 26 Willis Street, has a frontage of 37ft. 9in. by a depth of 95ft., and on it is erected an old wooden building. There was a rood attendance Bidding started at £34,000, and rose rapidly to £35,000, and the block was purchased for £35,500 by Mr. Leo. Dwan This works out at about £920 per foot, which is believed to be a record cash price for Willis Street property.
