Cabled news lias been received by the New Zealand Shipping Company that tne Queen Eleanor, en route from St. John, and New York, arrived at Panama on April 16, and left again the following day. The vessel, which brings cargo for discharge at Auckland, »eilington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin, is due at Auckland on May 14. IRON CROWN’S HOUGH TRIP. . The steamer Iron Crown, which arrivea in the stream at Wellington at 11-30 o’clock on Thursday night from Newcastle, berthed at the Railway Wharf yesterday morning to commence discharge ot tier cargo of 5360 tons of. coal. The vessel experienced an exceptionoliy rough trip across the Tasman, southerly gales ano heavy seas being met with from the time- she cleared Newcastle, and at one stage the vessel was hove-to for twentyeight hours. Captain McLellan retains command of the Iron Crown.

MANUKA DELAYED BY RAIN. The Union Company report that the Manuka has been delayed by rain at Dunedin, and is now to leave there at noon to-day for Bluff. The vessel is timed to clear Bluff at 10 p.m. on Monday for Melbourne.

SUNKEN ROCK REPORTED. A notice in the "Gazette” states that a sunken rock is reported to exist at a tance of three-quarters of a mile olt Miners Head, Great Barrier Island, and in a line with the outer extreme of Moko Hinau Islands. A sounding of seven fathoms was obtained in this locality, shortly after which some white patenefl of rock, indicating a lesser depth, were observed. lONIC DUE TO-DAY. To complete discharge of her Loudon cargo, the Shaw-Savill liner lonic is due at Wellington to-day from Napier, and will berth at the Pipitea Wharf. ■ THE WESTMORELAND. The New Zealand Shipping Company report that the Westmoreland will leave Wellington on Monday afternoon tor Wanganui, to complete loading for London and Hull. TANKER FOR AUCKLAND. ' Advice has been received that a tanker, is en route from San Pedro to Auckland with a full cargo of bulk oil for discharge into the tanks of the Atlantic Union Oil Company at Freeman s Bay. This will be the first cargo for the company since it was established in AucKland recently. THE KIA ORA. The Shaw-Savill Company report that the Kia Ora, on completion of discharge at Dunedin, is to leave on Tuesday for Oamaru, Timaru, Wanganui, and Wellington. to load for London. She is duo here on Maj’ 2. MISCELLANEOUS. The Mahia is to leave Lyttelton to-day for New Plymouth and Nelson, to complete discharge of her London cargo. The Mamari is to leave Wanganui on Tuesday for Wellington, to continue her Homeward loading. ' The Canadian Britisher is <0 leave Lvttelton to-day for Dunedin, to complete discharge of her East Canadian cargo. * • The Port Albany is to leave Now Plymouth to-day for Sydney. The Port Victor will leave Wellington on Monday for Lyttelton, to complete loading for London. The Port Adelaide is to leave Wanganui this afternoon for Gisborne, to continue her Homeward loading. . The Somerset is to leave Bluff ' this afternoon for Port Chalmers, to continue loading for London and West of England ports. The Piako is now to leave Wellington at daybreak to-morrow for Napier and Auckland, to fill up for New York and London. The New Zealand Shipping Company s Remuera ia to leave Tokomaru Bay at 1 a.m. fo-morrow for Picton and Wellington,'to complete loading for London. From southern ports, the Breeze is due here on Tuesday, and will go on to Wanganui. thence Lyttelton. The Calm is now due back here on Tuesday from Wanganui, and will go on to southern ports. The Pakura, from Napier and Gisborne, is due here to-morrow, atid will return on Tuesday to the same ports. The Hawera has been bar-bound in Patea since Tuesday, and will not now leave here until Monday fpr Wanganui. The John is due here to-morrow, from New Plymouth, ••’.nd will leave on Monday for Lyttelton. She is due back on Wednesday, and will leave again the following day for Wanganui and New Plymouth.
