LORD KYLSANT’S TENDER ACCEPTED SHIPS TO BE TAKEN OVER IN LONDON , London, April 17. Mr. S. M. Bruce, Prime Minister of Australia, has cabled accepting Lord Kylsant’s tender for the purchase of the Commonwealth Line. The purchaser will take over the slflps as they arrive, beginning with the Largs Bay on April 25. [Lord Kylsant’s tender was reported by a message published on Monday to be £1,900,000, of which £250,000 would be in cash and the balance by instalments.] (Rec, April 18. 8.25 p.m.) Sydney, April 18. Mr. Larkin, chairman of the Commonwealth Shipping Board, returned to Sydney to-day from Canberra. He had no comment to make regarding the reported sale of the Commonwealth Line to Lord Kylsant for £1,900,000. THE BOYCOTT THREAT Melbourne, April 18. Mr. Bruce states that his Government is unperturbed by the threat of the seamen of the Marine Transport group to boycott the Commonwealth vessels when sold. He adds that the new owners would be obliged to undertake to maintain an equivalent service to that provided by the Commonwealth Line.
