EUCHARISTIC CONGRESS IN SYDNEY

Thousands of Catholics from many countries covering all ranks and classes from august Papal dignitary to humule layman will join with Australian ami New Zealand fellow Catholics at Sydney in September in devotion to the Blessed Eucharist, at the twenty-ninth international congress. A souvenir will be distributed free pt charge to subscribers who take part in ths assembly. The souvenir takes the form of a loose leaf portfolio containing letterpress and separate plates of engravings, these being beautifully executed colour portraits of eminent prelates. Australian, New Zealand and European, headed by the Pope and Cardinal Cerretti, in the full pontifical and episcopal vestments. There is also a three colour reproduction of the congress banner, with the set prayer for success, as well as a view of Sydney Harbour from a painting bv Enk Langker. The letterpress gives an interesting history of the growth of the International Eucharistic Congress from the germ planted ove r fifty years bv Mario Tamisicr. , Other articles tell the story of Australia as a mission field, and of the beginning and growth of the Catholic Church in Australia.
