Aleteorological Office, Wellington, Mai ch A moderate anti-cyclone is centred west of the Auckland J eninsula, and a slight low pressure wave is advancing over the south lasman Forecast.—Variable winds, chiefly between south-west and north-west north of New Plymouth and Napier, elsewhere moderate to fresh northerlies to westerlies. Seas generally moderate in New Zealand waters, but rising in the Cook Strait region and on the West Coast south of Cape Egmont. Fresh north-west winds, later backing to south-west in the central and southei n 1 asman Sea, with rather rough seas. . Weather fair at first in the East Coast districts and tn the lai noith. but later becoming cloudy and unsettled south .of New Plymouth and Napier with rain developing, more especially in the westein and southern districts.
