MOTOR PLATES AND LICENSES

ALL DISTRIBUTED FROM CONCERT CHAMBER In preparation for the annual rush for motor drivers’ licenses and new number plates, which occupies the time of a large staff of clerks at the end of each financial year, the chief traffic inspector has arranged for the whole of the business to be transacted at the Concert Chamber as from March 8. Previous! v the issue of licenses has'‘been attended to in the Concert Chamber, but car owners have had to go to the General Post Office for their new registered number plates. On this occasion, however, the Post Office authorities have agreed to allow their clerks to handle the plates at the Concert Chamber, so as not to harass car owners unduly.
