KING VISITS BIRMINGHAM Rugby, February 23. The King and Queen, who on Tuesday visited the London section of the British Industries Fair, to-day made the journey front London to Birmingham, to see the section of the fair in that city. Sir Austen Chamberlain, Foreign Secretary, who is member of Parliament for West Birmingham, and Sir Philip Cunliffe Lister, President of the Board of Trade, travelled in the Royal train. Upon arrival at Birmingham the Royal partv drove in motor-cars to the exhibition, being enthusiastically greeted en route. Their Majesties were welcomed at the exhibition by the local authorities and prominent industrialists. After spending the best part .of the afternoon inspecting the exhibits, l.heir Majesties returned to London. —British iciau Wireless MR. L. BEALE IMPRESSED London, February 23. Mr. L. Beale, British Trade Commissioner in New Zealand, visiting London, says that he had received many evidences of the benefits of. New’ Zealand’s new tariffs. His visit to the Industries Fair has convinced him that British trade is far in advance of other countries regarding quality. The British Industrial Fair reports that the New Zealand stand has received exceptionally large inquiries for butter, cheese and honey.
