FIRE AT KARORI
The Fire Brigade, received a call to a dwelling in Donald Street, Karori, shortly before half-past ten o’clock last, night. When the brigade arrived on the scene, the flames had a good hold, and although •here was an ample pressure of water, the structure was totally destroyed. There was a strong southerly breeze blowing, and the alarm appeared to have been given rather late. A considerable number of neighbours were about, but the brigade were unable to obtain any particulars as to the identity of the occupants, or ownership of the house. The need for protection against fire loss is obvious Consult the Mercan tile and General Insurance Company Ltd., Panama Street, Wellington.— •\dvt.
