MAN FINED £25 ' Dominion i-r iaj. Service. Auckland, February 21. “I am quite convinced that he was loitering lor the purposes of betting," said -Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., in announcing his decision in the case in which Francis Robert Ilennett, alias “Butler” Bennett, was charged with loitering oatside the Takapuna racecourse on January 28 and 30 last for the purpose ol betting. “Half of the questions put to him in Court he refused to answer,” added the Magistrate, “and his evidence was not given in a satisfactory manner by any means. On one charge Bennett is fined £25.”
