The Stratford "Post” reports that while two men were bathing in a creek near '.i'aliora, a large eel seized one ot them by a toe, and it took a considerable amount of kicking to dislodge tho fish, which lauded on the bank. The eel had securely fastened its teeth iu the victim’s too, and lie still carries the marks. As the swimmer was a member of the Stratford Eel Club the “Post” facetiously remarks that the attack was the first of the rcpiisals to be conducte<l by the eels against the members of an organisation which has so sadly depleted their numbers.
