KHANDALLAH AFFAIRS
The monthly committee meeting of the Khandallah Progress , Association was held on Thursday evening, Mr. M. S. Galloway presiding. Members of the committee expressed regret that the city authorities did not straighten the lower end of Kaiwarra Gorge Road before the land was purchased by the oil company. It was decided to bring under the notice of the City Council the unsatisfaetory and unsightly condition of the rubbish dump in Bengal Street. It was resolved to approach the City Council urging the widening of North Road from Station Road northward. Mr. Rogerson, foreman of the local volurdlei brigade, reported the brigade had attended four fires since the last committee meeting, one nt Ngaio, one at Nairnville, and (wo at. Khandallah.
