PETROL DRUM EXPLODES
z. ♦ YOUTH ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL. BY Telegraph.—press Association. Westport, January 23. Through a petrol drum exploding, a youth, William Lowe, of Sergeant’s Hill, received severe injuries to one of . his legs. He was removed to the hospital. The petrol drum had had water passing through it for two days at the time of the accident. A brother of the injured boy, who was sitting on top of the drum, struck a match and passed it over the bung hole. The explosion blew out the end of the drum. Lowe received the full force. Ho will probably lose his leg.
