ORCHARD TAX
PAYABLE IN JANUARY. An amendment in the regulations under the Orchard and Garden Diseases Act, gazetted this week, provides for the registration, of orchards in the month of January instead of October, as hitherto. The tax will be payable m January, and the change of date has been decided on as being mine convenient to fruit-growers.
