MAGISTRATE’S COURT
SUMMONS CASES ' Summons* cases were dealt with by Mr. E. Page. S.M., in the Magistrates Court yesterday. Wall On was lined XI for cruelly illtreating a horse by working it while in an unfit condition. Hugo Etenevoaux was fined 10s. for failing to notify a change of address under the Arms' Act. Cation Cavallaro was fined .£3 for having in his possession an automatic pistol. On a charge of possessing an unregistered automatic pistol, he was convicted and discharged. The pistol and the ammunition were orderer to be forfeited. Attempting to cross the railway line at Bunny Street when (lie line was not clear cost George 'Morgan Xl. On a charge of smoking, in a nonsmoking railway carriage, William Ronald Payne was fined .£l. Selling a firearm (an air pistol) to a youth under the age of 16 cost Walter George Seamhury, 10s. Ou a charge of overloading a lorry, J. Cowels was convicted and ordered to pay costs. 10s. The case in which Albert Durant was charged with stealing goods to the value •of .£2O. the property of Victor Brownson, was adjourned to Wednesday next.
