There are manv unions that always have a dispute before the Court, and it is obvious that some officers are frightened not to have a dispute going on' because it might be thought they are not doing their jobs. It would be a good thing to get these industrial representatives on both sides to do something better than fight before the Arbitration Court. Let both sides meet and examine the industnes with a view to remedying the causes of friction. Is it too much to hope that the spirit in which British Labour met the group of industrialists represented by Sir Alfred Aloud might be exhibited in these countries and help to build up a finer and saner industrialism ?— “Hawke’s Bay Herald.”
