MEETING OF THE COUNCIL At a meeting of the Council of the New Zealand Golf Association held yesterday, a letter was received from Mr.' J. B. Mac Ewan, intimating that he could not accejjt tho office of chairman, to which he had been elected in his absence, nor could he this year continue as a member of the council. It was resolved that Mr. W. E. A. Gill be elepted chairman and Sir Alexander Roberts, vicechairman, the vacancy on the council being filled by the election of Mr. W. A. Kiely. The location of the tournament and Kirk-Windeyor Cup matches was left to the chairman, Captain Conway, and Mr, A. D. S. Duncan to decide on Monday next. As there will be no eliminating matches necessary (only New Soulh Wales being represented), the KirkWindeyer Cup matches will be played on Monday, January 30, instead of Tuesday tho 31st.
