EMPIRE BROADCAST
REMEMBRANCE FESTIVAL ON ARMISTICE DAY RECEPTION POSSIBLE ALL OVER WORLD London, October 31. The first broadcast to the Empire through the British Broadcasting Corporation’s short-wave station at Chelms- 1 ford (SSW) will be the remembrance festival at the Albert Hall from 8 to 10 p.m. on Armistice Day, when the Prince of Wales will address ten thousand ex-service men. Thus, for the first time, the Dominions and colonies will have an opportunity of sharing in London’s commemoration of the Annis-' tice by an audible link In view of the success of Mr. Marcuse’s transmissions and 2FC’s broadcasts, there seems every reason to believe that SSW will be received throughout the Empire. Chelmsford will use a 24-metre wave and a power of twenty kilowatts, giving a chance of reception all over the world. LINKING UP EX-SOLDIERS (Rec. November 1, 5.5 p.m.) London, October 31.
