TROUBLE OVER A MAIN HIGHWAY
MAORIS ASSERT CLAIM TO ROAD LAND BY Telegraph.— Association, Otaki, October 14. Natives who claim part of the main road at 'the Otaki Railway to-day erected a fence, narrowing the road to a few feet, and impeding vehicular traffic. Their intention is to force the Borough Council to pay for the land. The roadway is at present extremely dangerous to users of the highway.
