Against a side containing Scottish Internationals, the Waratabs brought off a splendid win, defeating Glasgow by 10 points to nil. In the first half they had most of the play. The forwards were well held, but the backs were most dangerous. Lawton was the outstanding back, repeatedly cutting through. His touch-kicking was magnificent. He was responsible for the only score in the first half. HS’ drew the defence nicely, Towers romping home behind the posts. Lawton easily - converted. E. Ford, on the right wing, was conspicuous in bringing down Simmers three times, when the lattei seemed certain to score. In the second half Glasgow started strongly, trie forwards showing to advantage, but the backs never settled down. The Waratahs’ defence was superb, and the visitors soon regained their supremacy. Lawton often put them within scoring distance, anil Ross was clever in touch-finding. Bowers and Towers, wore most aggressive, but only in the last minute did Fox cross near the posts. Lawton converted, and the game ended 10 points to nil.
