CRICKET SURPRISE
CAPTAIN OF BRITISH TOURING TEAM
(Rec. October 13, 11.55 p.m.) London, October 13. The “Daily Mail” states that Marylsbone has sprung a surprise on the cricket world by selecting Captain • Ronald T. Stanyforth to lead the tourists to South Africa in place of G. R. Jackson who was prevented by illness from •’oing. Though Stanyforth is a successful Army batsman and accompanied Warner to the Argentine, his name is unknown to most followers of firet-clasi cricket.—Sydney "Sun” Cable.
