Mr. F. 11. Greenwood, a Little Rakaia farmer, received a surprise the other day to find that one ewe had given birth to five lambs, all of* which were 11 ymg (states the Ashburton “Guardian ). Ihe lambs were about the same size as the average twin lambs, and, strangely, very few of the other ewes had produced more than one. The ewe is a big-framed crossbred. On a previous occasion Mr. Greenwood hod <i ewe with four Jambs, nil of which lived, but this is the first time be has heard of one owe having five.
