DRUNKEN MOTORIST BEFORE COURT
CANCELLATION OF LICENSE OR PROHIBITION ORDER. Dominion Special Service. Christchurch, October 11. In granting the request of counsel not to cancel accused’s license in a ease in which a man was charged with driving a car while ho was in a state of intoxication, Mr. E. D. Mosley, S.M., stated at tho Magistrate’s Court this morning that ho disregarded the comments of outsiders in such cases, lie convicted and fined accused Ailtl and costs, aud ordered that his license be endorsed. Accused was Ernest Anderson, who had driven a milk delivery van at HO miles an hour in Bcalcy Avenue, and had crashed into the gutter. "It is either a case of a prohibition order or tho cancellation of your license,” concluded the Magistrate. "I will lake out a prohibition order.." replied accused.
