WELLINGTON PRESBYTERY

MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Wellington Presbytery was held yesterday, the Moderator (Rev. E. J. Orange) presiding. The Rev R. S. Watson read the report and the finding of the commission to Levin, after which it was decided that the Rev. R. Inglis should read the finding to the Levin congregation next Sunday week. It was moved by the Rev. R. S. Watson: “That the parish of Plimmerton shall embrace all the country between Pukerua Bay and Porirua (inclusive of both places), and that the Rev J. A. McKenzie be asked to carry out pastoral visitation in this district, and to hold services whenever possible.” The Rev. Inglis said that the Rev. McKenzie’s state of health would not permit of his extending his field of work. As a result of this statement, the motion was referred back to the Church Extension Committee with power to act.
