ANOTHER ANXIOUS INQUIRY
Another inquiry as to the date of the introduction of the Licensing Amendment Bill was made in the House of Representatives yesterday, the questioner being Air. J. AlcCotnbes (Lyttelton). . , . T . The Prime Alinister (Right Hon. J. G. Coates), in reply, jocularly referred the member to the reply the Alinister of Labour had given an earlier questioner on another subject. The Leader of the Opposition (Mr. II E Holland): Wait and see? The Prime Alinister: Yes, the latter portion of the. reply, as well as the former. (Laughter.) “The Government,” he added, _ lias certain urgent 'Government business that it desires to get on with, and a suitable opportunity will be taken, when we get sufficiently far with those Government Bills, to allow members to express their views upon other questions, one of which has been mentioned bv Air.
