ESPERANTO
Sir —With reference to the letters appearing in Saturday’s paper on the above subject, kindly allow me to ask your correspondents a few peitment questions. Is ’t not a fact—(l) That practice the Esperantists of tile world form a political faction standing for pacifism generally and passive resistance in war time? (2) That it is the desire of every “good" Esperantist to remove the existing national boundaries between, countries and to set up a sort of universal republic ? (3) That an international organisation has been set up for this purpose ,and > Iready has its agents and emissaries in every country of the world? (4) That it is customary for everv meeting of Esperantists to open and close with the singing of an Esperantist translation of “The International” ? Can the Esperantists honestly denv these things ? If they are not evidences of Communism . I don’t know what is.—l am, etc., NO CAMOUFLAGE. Wellington, October 3.
