TO-DAY’S WEATHER FORECAST

Meteorological Office, Wellington, October 5. 4 p.m. Present indications arc for strong northerly to easterly winds northward of New Plymouth and Napier, and westerly backing to southerlies elsewhere. The weather is likely to become cloudy and unsettled, with rain generally and heavy rain in the northern districts of the North Island, and colder conditions following. A cyclone, located on the North Tasman Sea, is apparently centred west of Cape Maria, and moving towards New Zealand.
